Deck overview

This deck is a high-power mono-black combo list piloted by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. Its primary strategy leverages K'rrik's ability to pay life in place of black mana to accelerate mana velocity, tutor density, and reanimation lines. The core win condition centers on resolving Buried Alive to place Necrotic Ooze, Asmodeus the Archfiend, and Skirge Familiar into the graveyard, followed by a cheap reanimation spell. Because Necrotic Ooze gains Asmodeus's activated draw ability without inheriting its static draw-replacement restriction, it draws the entire library for life, discards excess cards for black mana via Skirge Familiar, and loops Gray Merchant of Asphodel with Chainer, Dementia Master to eliminate all opponents in a single turn. Backup lines include Hoarding Broodlord into Saw in Half, Bolas's Citadel, and Peer into the Abyss. The deck runs dense redundancy across tutors, reanimation, and spot removal, maintaining a fast Turn 4 goldfish clock.
