Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari token swarm and aristocrats strategy led by Hazel of the Rootbloom. The game plan revolves around generating a wide variety of tokens—specifically Squirrels, Food, and Treasures—and leveraging Hazel's end-step trigger to multiply them exponentially. Hazel also turns tapped tokens into explosive mana, enabling big turns ahead of curve. The deck transitions into the late game by finding decisive combat overruns such as Beastmaster Ascension, End-Raze Forerunners, and Insatiable Frugivore, or by draining opponents out through aristocrats engines like Bastion of Remembrance, Nadier's Nightblade, and Zulaport Cutthroat paired with mass sacrifice spells like Plumb the Forbidden. While the deck lacks fast combo lines and hard protection spells, its high functional redundancy, steady card draw engines, and dual win conditions make it a resilient mid-power threat capable of overwhelming tables through sheer token volume.
