Samwise, Masterchef by johnmillington94

Format: Commander

Commander: Samwise Gamgee

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Samwise Gamgee leads a Selesnya midrange deck focused on creature deployment, Food token generation, and graveyard recursion. The primary game plan involves casting nontoken creatures to trigger Samwise, generating a steady supply of Food tokens that fuel life gain synergies and historic recursion. The deck scales its board presence through +1/+1 counters and creature tokens produced by cards like Torens, Fist of the Angels, Good-Fortune Unicorn, and Shelinda, Yevon Acolyte. Victory is achieved through overwhelming combat damage, using power multipliers such as Sierra, Nuka's Biggest Fan, Shalai, Voice of Plenty, and Wilt-Leaf Liege, or pushing damage past blockers with Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa and Zetalpa, Primal Dawn.
