Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mardu Aikido control build helmed by Queen Marchesa. Rather than racing to establish proactive combos or massive armies, it leverages pillowfort pieces, political incentives, and reactive damage deflection to turn opponents' strength against themselves. In the early game, the deck accelerates mana, introduces the Monarch mechanic, and discourages aggression toward itself with cards like Ghostly Prison and Nils, Discipline Enforcer. The mid-to-late game revolves around Sunforger, which functions as an instant-speed toolbox capable of fetching life-saving protection, surgical removal, and devastating damage reflection like Deflecting Palm or Comeuppance. A decisive game-ender arrives in the form of mass goad via Taunt from the Rampart or a massive Inkshield, forcing opponents to eliminate each other before the surviving player is cleanly dispatched.
