Ivy Control by Thegreyninja

Format: Commander

Commander: Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief is the engine of a Simic mutate-and-copy value deck. The deck gets Ivy down early, creates a second non-Ivy creature, then plays mutate, Aura, and instant spells that target that creature so Ivy copies each spell onto herself. Copy multipliers-Vesuvan Duplimancy, Orvar, the All-Form, and Twinning Staff-turn each spell into extra draws, ramp, removal, and creature copies. There is no compact infinite combo; the deck wins by assembling a large flying/mutated board and finishing with Rite of Replication, Multiversal Incursion, or unblockable commander damage. Orvar and Sakashima of a Thousand Faces act as secondary engines, but no card is a true hidden commander.
