Deck overview

This is a Gruul battlecruiser deck built around the partner commanders Gilanra, Caller of Wirewood and Alena, Kessig Trapper. The primary plan is to deploy the two commanders early, use Gilanra for green mana and card draw, and use Alena to convert the power of newly entered creatures into a burst of red mana, allowing two or more huge threats per turn. Secondary paths include attack-trigger value from Etali and Doors of Durin, plus cascade/discover payoffs from Monstrous Vortex and Trumpeting Carnosaur. Both faces of the command zone support the same strategy: Gilanra smooths the early game, Alena accelerates the high-mana endgame. There is no hidden commander; the deck is a straightforward big-creature beatdown engine.
