Format: Commander

Commander: Skullbriar, the Walking Grave

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Skullbriar, the Walking Grave leads an aggressive Golgari Voltron strategy centered on rapid commander damage. Skullbriar retains all counters as it moves between the battlefield, graveyard, command zone, and exile, turning every counter into permanent growth. The game plan relies on casting Skullbriar on turn two, quickly scaling its power with counter multipliers such as Branching Evolution and Hardened Scales, and securing lethal commander damage through evasion like Brotherhood Regalia or Rogue's Passage. A dense suite of cheap protection spells ensures Skullbriar continuously attacks while outscaling blockers and eliminating players sequentially.
