Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Rat Tribal Control strategy led by Vren, the Relentless. The deck controls the board by using symmetrical sacrifice spells and efficient removal to trigger Vren's static ability, exiling opposing creatures instead of allowing them to die. At each end step, Vren converts these exiles into Relentless Rat-style tokens that scale exponentially with every Rat in play. The game plan leverages this board dominance alongside tribal payoffs such as Marrow-Gnawer, Valley Rotcaller, and Karumonix, the Rat King to close the game through massive combat damage, life drain, or toxic counters. A suite of efficient counterspells and protective tools shields the commander from interaction while Grave Pact and Toxic Deluge keep opposing creature strategies completely suppressed.
