Deck overview

This five-color typal deck uses Changeling creatures to bridge synergies across diverse creature types. Because Changelings count as every creature type simultaneously, single cards trigger Rat, Sliver, Dragon, Elf, Ninja, and Vampire abilities at the same time. The commander, Cosmic Spider-Man, grants the entire squad flying, first strike, trample, lifelink, and haste on combat. Standalone lords like Voja, Jaws of the Conclave and Kyler, Sigardian Emissary rapidly grow the board with +1/+1 counters, while Ashcoat of the Shadow Swarm provides massive power buffs. The deck focuses on combat damage, producing wide evasive swings to eliminate opponents over two to three attack steps. While the deck boasts high internal synergy and explosive board states, its reliance on tap-lands slows early setup, and a thin interaction package leaves it open to faster combo strategies.
