Deck overview

This deck is a high-power mono-black Aristocrats combo list helmed by Ghoulcaller Gisa. Rather than relying on its commander to generate slow token armies, the deck uses Gisa as an auxiliary sacrifice outlet and body generator while focusing on deterministic infinite loops. The primary win route combines Gravecrawler or Forsaken Miner with mana-producing sacrifice outlets like Phyrexian Altar or Warren Soultrader and blood artist drain effects such as Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Bastion of Remembrance. Top-tier tutors like Demonic Tutor and Vampiric Tutor provide consistent access to missing combo pieces, while rituals such as Dark Ritual and Culling the Weak accelerate development. Explosive engines like Bolas's Citadel and Necropotence provide massive card replenishment. The deck's primary limitations stem from mono-black's inherent weaknesses: an inability to answer resolved artifacts and minimal stack interaction beyond Imp's Mischief.
