Niko v2 by Benjaminiel

Format: Commander

Commander: Niko, Light of Hope

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Niko, Light of Hope leads an Azorius flicker-and-copy engine centered on Shard tokens. Niko's ETB banks two Shards, and its activated ability exiles a nonlegendary creature and turns every Shard into a copy of that creature until end of turn - converting inert cantrip tokens into an attacking army. The 99 is built densely for that plan: Soulherder, Restoration Angel, and a huge instant-speed blink suite (Cloudshift, Ephemerate, Momentary Blink, Ghostly Flicker, Slip On the Ring) rebuy ETB value, while Exalted Sunborn, Panharmonicon, Starfield Vocalist, and Naban, Dean of Iteration double tokens and triggers. The deck wins by overloading the board with Shard-copies - often Auton Soldier with myriad, or Overlord of the Floodpits - and swinging at all three opponents behind counterspells, exile removal, and wipes. Niko Aris the planeswalker acts as a hidden second commander, restocking Shards all game, and the airbend effects like Aang, Swift Savior and Avatar's Wrath add a soft-lock control layer.
