Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive mono-green stompy strategy built around Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The game plan accelerates mana on Turn 1 and deploys over-statted 3-mana and 4-mana creatures like Pugnacious Hammerskull, Steel Leaf Champion, and Tangleweave Armor on Turns 2 and 3. Reaching 10 or more total power discounts Ghalta's casting cost to just {G}{G}, enabling a Turn 4 commander deployment. Once Ghalta is in play, massive power-scaling card draw spells like Rishkar's Expertise, Greater Good, and Momentous Fall refill the hand with 12 new cards. The deck closes games swiftly between Turns 5 and 6 using overrun finishers including Overwhelming Stampede, Craterhoof Behemoth, and Unnatural Growth to trample over opposing defenses. While vulnerable to board wipes, robust recovery options and instant-speed protection like Heroic Intervention and Tamiyo's Safekeeping keep the threat engine resilient across table rotations.
