Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy -1/-1 counter midrange and attrition powerhouse commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The strategy leverages -1/-1 counter distribution as both a lethal removal tool and an explosive card-advantage engine. By combining counter generators like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Nest of Scarabs, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician with Auntie Ool's ability to draw cards from friendly blights and drain opponents when their creatures shrink, the deck continuously expands its resource ledger while suffocating enemy boards. Asymmetric locks from Kulrath Knight and creature theft from Necroskitter paralyze opposing combat, while infinite loops involving Blowfly Infestation and drain outlets like Obelisk Spider or Bontu's Monument provide definitive closing power. Supported by resilient graveyard recursion, versatile spot removal, and robust mana acceleration, the deck smoothly transitions from early board development into overwhelming card velocity and inevitable victory.
