Deck overview

This Sultai deck merges traditional Elf tribal ramp with an ability-stealing combo engine led by Thranduil, the Elvenking. Early turns focus on deploying low-cost mana dorks like Llanowar Elves and Priest of Titania to establish a mana advantage. The primary strategy utilizes Buried Alive to deposit Devoted Druid, Immaculate Magistrate, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord directly into the graveyard. Once Thranduil enters the battlefield, he inherits these activated abilities, creating a loop that produces infinite +1/+1 counters, infinite mana, and an immediate lethal life-drain fling through Jarad to eliminate all opponents on turn 5. If Thranduil is disrupted, the deck pivots naturally to go-wide Elf aggression led by Lathril, Blade of the Elves and Elvish Archdruid, backed by massive mana sinks like Genesis Wave and Exsanguinate. Reanimation through Haunting Voyage ensures resilience against opposing sweepers.
