Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Naya midrange strategy centered on Toph, the First Metalbender. Toph turns all nontoken artifacts into lands and animates them via end-step earthbend triggers, granting haste and built-in return-to-battlefield recursion upon death or exile. By converting indestructible artifacts like Darksteel Relic and utility pieces like Ichor Wellspring into recurring land creatures, the deck constantly generates value while triggering potent landfall payoffs including Omnath, Locus of Rage, Avenger of Zendikar, Rampaging Baloths, and Felidar Retreat. The deck curves smoothly from ramp artifacts into Toph on Turn 4, follows up with dominant landfall threats by Turn 6, and overwhelms the table with broad token armies and combat damage by Turn 8. While it has modest reactive interaction and minimal tutoring, its redundancy and engine resilience make it a robust combat-oriented deck.
