Format: Commander

Commander: Matoya, Archon Elder

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Matoya, Archon Elder leads a mono-blue scry/surveil control deck that turns every filter effect into card advantage. The primary plan is to establish Matoya early, then chain cheap surveil and scry cantrips (Consider, Opt, Preordain, Banishing Betrayal) to draw extra cards and bury opponents in counterspells and bounce. Secondary paths are spell-based combo locks: Isochron Scepter imprinting Narset's Reversal to loop Time Warp for infinite turns, Hullbreaker Horror with Sol Ring for infinite bounce and mana, and Curator of Mysteries plus Mind Over Matter with Matoya for infinite draw and untaps. Hullbreaker Horror and Metallurgic Summonings act as hidden commanders that close games once control is established.
