Deck overview

This deck is an optimized Grixis Zombie Aristocrats combo deck commanded by Marchesa, the Black Rose. It builds a compounding resource engine using death triggers, token generation, and sacrifice outlets like Skullclamp, Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. The primary win condition is an infinite sacrifice loop combining Phyrexian Altar and Gravecrawler alongside a drain payoff such as The Meathook Massacre, Diregraf Captain, Mayhem Devil, or Mirkwood Bats to eliminate all opponents in a single turn. Elite black tutors provide high consistency, while free interaction like Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat shields the combo attempt. When combo pieces are contested, the deck transitions smoothly into a resilient midrange strategy powered by The Scarab God, Grave Titan, and massive life swings from Gray Merchant of Asphodel.
