Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Golgari lifegain and typal swarm deck commanded by Blech, Loafing Pest. The strategy revolves around deploying cheap typal creatures and tokens—specifically Pests, Bats, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders—and triggering lifegain repeatedly through soul-sister effects, attack triggers, and utility spells. Each lifegain trigger places +1/+1 counters onto every relevant typal creature you control, turning minor tokens into massive threats. Scalers like Branching Evolution, Doubling Season, and Winding Constrictor accelerate this growth exponentially. Complementary lifegain drain pieces like Enduring Tenacity, Starscape Cleric, and South Wind Avatar ensure that defensive boards are punished directly. Supported by efficient 1-2 CMC ramp, potent card advantage engines like Skullclamp and Terrasymbiosis, and finishers like Triumph of the Hordes and Biorhythm, the deck smoothly transitions from early token generation into an overwhelming combat and drain victory by Turn 6 to 7.
