Deck overview

This Esper deck leverages Splinter, Radical Rat to create an explosive Ninja tempo engine that rapidly pivots into high-damage table burn or compact combo finishes. The early game establishes evasive 1-drop creatures such as Changeling Outcast and Mist-Cloaked Herald to enable cheap ninjutsu deployments of Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow and Ingenious Infiltrator. Once Splinter, Radical Rat enters the battlefield on Turn 3, every Ninja combat trigger fires twice, doubling card draw and life loss across all opponents. High mana-value spells like Temporal Manipulation, Time Warp, and Cyclonic Rift provide massive life loss via Yuriko triggers while preserving castability through Treasure and fast mana. A dense interaction suite of free counterspells like Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship protects the board, while Thassa's Oracle combined with Demonic Consultation offers a lethal deterministic backup route when combat stalls.
