Smaug, Wicked Worm (Rakdos Treasures) by gfparadiso

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug, Wicked Worm

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Rakdos Treasure deck harnesses Smaug, Wicked Worm as both a token generator and an explosive card-advantage engine. By producing a flood of Treasure tokens through creatures like Professional Face-Breaker, Goldspan Dragon, and Xorn, Smaug turns every Treasure-funded spell into a draw-one, refuelling the hand while the Treasures accumulate. The primary win path is a compact infinite-damage loop using Dualcaster Mage + Twinflame + Krark-Clan Ironworks + a blood artist effect (Mayhem Devil or Mirkwood Bats). Secondary plans rely on combat: Fiery Emancipation multiplies damage from evasive dragons like Smaug the Magnificent or Cavern-Hoard Dragon, while Knuckles the Echidna presents an alternative 30-artifact win condition. The deck is heavily tutor-dense, with Vampiric Tutor, Beseech the Mirror, Imperial Recruiter, and Diabolic Intent ensuring key pieces are found reliably.
