Deck overview

This Edric, Spymaster of Trest deck executes a classic 'Flying Men' tempo strategy in Simic colors. The game plan focuses on curving out with evasive one-mana creatures on early turns, deploying Edric on Turn 3, and immediately converting combat connections into substantial card advantage. By drawing three to five fresh cards every combat step, the deck maintains a full grip of cheap stack interaction and protection spells to shield its board state and disrupt opposing win attempts. As the swarm grows, it transitions into a lethal clock using pump spells such as Scale Up (overloaded) and Biomass Mutation, or by taking additional turns with Part the Waterveil and Walk the Aeons. The deck excels at resource velocity and explosive hand refill, though it remains vulnerable to sweepers and struggles if Edric is repeatedly removed without an alternative draw engine on the battlefield.
