Tempted Army by Woozie400

Format: Commander

Commander: Saruman, the White Hand

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Built around Saruman, the White Hand, this Grixis deck turns every noncreature spell into an amass trigger, growing one Army token into a game-ending attacker. It uses Dreadhorde Invasion, March from the Black Gate, and Sauron, the Dark Lord to generate counters outside the commander, while Mauhur makes every amass larger. The usual finish is a 40+ power Army made unblockable by Herald of Secret Streams or trampling via Great Goblin, Foul-Hearted, then either attacking or channeling that power through Chandra's Ignition. A secondary Wraith plan with nine Nazgul and Lord of the Nazgul can take over if the Army is removed. The hidden engine slotted among the 99 is Sauron, the Dark Lord, whose ring tempt/discard/draw loop pairs with Lazotep Chancellor.
