Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black aristocrats and combo-control build commanded by Avacyn, Angel of Horror. While Avacyn provides high-end board recursion and attrition by returning sacrificed or destroyed nontoken creatures at each end step, the deck's primary lethal engine centers around redundant two-card infinite life drain loops. Combining Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror with Sanguine Bond, Enduring Tenacity, or Marauding Blight-Priest creates an instant game-ending cascade from any life gain or opponent life loss. Acceleration from mono-black ritual staples, Cabal Coffers, and K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth enables explosive turns, while Yawgmoth, Thran Physician and The One Ring provide relentless card replenishment. Creature-dense opponents are suppressed via Grave Pact and recurring edict effects, allowing the deck to control the pace of combat before detonating its combo finish.
