Deck overview

This Golgari deck centers on Chatterfang, Squirrel General, transforming any token creation into an explosive army of 1/1 green Squirrels. By combining efficient ramp, potent token generators like Peregrin Took and Tireless Provisioner, and value engines like Skullclamp, the deck rapidly generates immense board presence and mana velocity. Chatterfang's activated ability turns excess Squirrels into flexible, instant-speed creature removal to police opposing boards. The deck closes games through two primary vectors: a catastrophic go-wide combat attack using Beastmaster Ascension, Triumph of the Hordes, or Overwhelming Stampede, or a relentless aristocrats drain engine powered by Mirkwood Bats, Bastion of Remembrance, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Warren Soultrader. A compact infinite combo between Chatterfang and Pitiless Plunderer provides an instant-speed win condition when assembled. Supported by resilient protection and card advantage, the deck applies compounding pressure while punishing opponents for interacting with its board.
