Witherbloom, the Balancer by happycatmeow30

Format: Commander

Commander: Witherbloom, the Balancer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari go-wide tokens deck helmed by Witherbloom, the Balancer. The plan is to flood the board with cheap dorks and token-makers, cast the commander at a steep affinity discount, then leverage its static ability so instants and sorceries also gain affinity for creatures. That turns Exsanguinate, Pest Infestation, Gelatinous Genesis, Awaken the Woods, and For the Common Good into enormous undercosted haymakers. Chatterfang, Squirrel General, Second Harvest, and Cryptolith Rite/Enduring Vitality convert the wide board into mana and doubled tokens, while Overwhelming Stampede and Beastmaster Ascension close through combat. The commander is a powerful enabler for the X-spell plan but is not a hard lock on the strategy-token combat still functions without it. Primary wins are massive life drains and trampling token alpha strikes.
