D. Of Rivaz. by AndK

Format: Commander

Commander: Rivaz of the Claw

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Rivaz of the Claw leads a Rakdos Dragon reanimator deck that uses the commander as a repeatable mana engine for Dragon spells and a once-per-turn graveyard recursion tool. The game plan is to ramp with mana rocks, treasures, and cost reducers, then cast a stream of flying Dragons that generate value through ETB triggers and combat. Damage engines like Scourge of Valkas, Dragon Tempest, and Terror of the Peaks turn every Dragon cast into burn, while Scourge of the Throne supplies extra combat steps to close out games. The deck is a midrange battlecruiser, not a fast combo build; it wins by assembling a critical mass of dragons and attacking, relying on recursion to recover from board wipes.
