Deck 27 by cgodsey12

Format: Commander

Commander: Phage the Untouchable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-black Voltron deck built around Phage the Untouchable's one-shot combat damage trigger. The entire deck is engineered to solve Phage's two fundamental problems: getting her into play legally (she must be cast from hand, never put onto the battlefield) and making her unblockable. The deck runs a dense package of 15+ "can't be blocked" effects spanning shadow (Dauthi Embrace, Minas Morgul, Dark Fortress), landwalk (Trailblazer's Boots), and straight unblockable (Whispersilk Cloak, Hot Soup, Brotherhood Regalia), plus a robust protection suite of hexproof, shroud, and ward. The win condition is simple and brutal: cast Phage, make her unblockable, and swing for the one-shot kill on each opponent. Genji Glove provides double strike and an extra combat, letting Phage eliminate two players in a single turn. Backup beaters like Phyrexian Obliterator and Vilis, Broker of Blood provide alternate pressure, while Lich's Mastery, Platinum Angel, and Darksteel Angel make the deck exceptionally hard to kill.
