Deck overview

This mono-green deck maximizes Kona, Rescue Beastie to bypass the mana costs of massive game-ending permanents. By pairing Kona with low-cost utility tap outlets like Springleaf Drum, Paradise Mantle, Jaspera Sentinel, and land-based tap enablers, the deck taps Kona on the turn she enters without needing combat risk or haste. Upon reaching the second main phase, Kona's Survival trigger cheats devastating permanents such as Portal to Phyrexia, Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant, Vaultborn Tyrant, or Archetype of Endurance onto the battlefield as early as Turn 3 or 4. Once a dominant board is established, the deck refuels through power-based draw engines like The Great Henge and closes the game rapidly using overrun finishers such as Craterhoof Behemoth and Overwhelming Stampede. Efficient 1-mana protection spells safeguard the commander during critical deployment windows.
