Summon: Merfolk Rage by Pearfect

Format: Commander

Commander: Yuna, Grand Summoner

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Bant (+1/+1 counters) Merfolk deck is helmed by Yuna, Grand Summoner, a flexible mana dork that also supercharges creature spells with two extra +1/+1 counters. The deck's primary plan is to flood the board with Merfolk, leverage counters-matter synergies, and then either crush opponents with unblockable threats (via Herald of Secret Streams or islandwalk) or win outright through Simic Ascendancy's alternate condition. Proliferate effects like Inexorable Tide and Ripples of Potential accelerate both combat and the Ascendancy clock. The commander's second ability-moving counters from dying permanents-provides incidental value, though the deck rarely relies on it. Secondary win conditions include big beaters like Sin, Unending Cataclysm and Xolatoyac, the Smiling Flood with trample and evasion. The deck is a midrange, value-oriented build that grinds incremental advantage rather than assembling a fast combo.
