Deck overview

This deck is a focused Orzhov Aristocrats combo list led by Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim. The game plan revolves around turning cheap creature fodder and token generators into ongoing resource advantages through sacrifice outlets and death-trigger card draw. Having a drain payoff in the command zone guarantees that every creature death chips away at opposing life totals while preserving your own. In the mid-game, the deck leverages asymmetric sacrifice effects like Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos to suppress opposing creature boards while digging deep into the library using engines like Skullclamp, Grim Haruspex, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. Once the necessary pieces are found, the deck closes the game via infinite sacrifice loops, most notably Phyrexian Altar paired with Gravecrawler and a Zombie, draining the table in a single turn. While vulnerable to targeted graveyard hate and lacking blue stack interaction, its high redundancy and compact combo lines provide steady resilience.
