Deck overview

This deck is an Esper lifegain control build piloted by Oloro, Ageless Ascetic. It leverages Oloro's eminence trigger to gain two life on every upkeep without ever needing to cast the commander. This steady life flow fuels powerful card advantage engines like Well of Lost Dreams and Trouble in Pairs, while enabling asymmetric payoff cards such as Crested Sunmare, Celestine, the Living Saint, and Witch of the Moors. The deck protects its life total and board state through a dense pillowfort package including Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Blind Obedience, and Authority of the Consuls. It disrupts opposing strategies with efficient spot removal, uncounterable answers, and sweepers like Toxic Deluge. Games conclude through direct life-threshold victories with Felidar Sovereign and Test of Endurance, massive life drain via Debt to the Deathless, or token swarms backed by +1/+1 counter engines like Archangel of Thune.
