Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is commanded by Killian, Decisive Mentor, focusing on an Aura-centric aggro-control strategy. The game plan centers on landing Killian on turn 3 and rapidly deploying low-cost Auras to trigger goad effects while generating consistent card advantage on combat attacks. By tapping and goading key opposing creatures, the deck deflects opposing aggression toward other players while clearing safe combat pathways. High-scaling threats such as Katilda, Dawnhart Martyr and team-wide pump engines like Mirror Entity convert this steady advantage into decisive combat damage around turn 7. The interaction suite leverages Orzhov removal and sweepers such as Devastating Mastery and Path of Peril to manage dangerous boards. While the deck possesses resilient recursion lines and strong combat steering, its lack of fast acceleration and reliance on multi-turn combat sequences require deliberate protection of key enchanted creatures.
