Format: Commander

Commander: Hazel of the Rootbloom

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Hazel of the Rootbloom deck is a token-centric, Squirrel-tribal strategy that leans into explosive mana generation and infinite-token combos. The command zone provides a repeatable mana sink (tap X tokens for X mana) and an end-step token copier that doubles Squirrel tokens. The primary win condition is assembling an infinite loop with Chatterfang, Squirrel General and Warren Soultrader (or Pitiless Plunderer) backed by a life-drain payoff such as Bastion of Remembrance or Blood Artist - generating infinite Treasures and Squirrels, then converting mana into Exsanguinate or draining the table. A secondary plan uses End-Raze Forerunners and Beastmaster Ascension to overrun opponents. The deck is built to fuel Hazel's mana ability with a high token density, but the combo itself does not require the commander.
