Deck overview

This Mardu deck utilizes Edgar Markov's Eminence ability to fuel a versatile aggressive, aristocrats, and combo strategy. The commander guarantees an incremental 1/1 Vampire token whenever any Vampire spell is cast, creating reliable board presence and sacrifice fodder straight from the command zone. Supported by premier fast mana like Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond, Sol Ring, and Dark Ritual, the deck accelerates into explosive early turns. It leverages high-velocity card engines including Skullclamp, Necropotence, and The One Ring to rapidly dig through the library. While the deck can overwhelm opponents through tribal lords and drain effects like Blood Artist and Cruel Celebrant, its most decisive win condition is assembling an infinite life-drain loop between Exquisite Blood and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. Backed by versatile Mardu removal and disruption such as Opposition Agent and Deadly Rollick, the deck consistently presents game-ending pressure by Turn 4.
