mardu squall by coob3rt

Format: Commander

Commander: Squall, Gunblade Duelist

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Squall, Gunblade Duelist is a Mardu attack-trigger burn commander. The deck picks a number (usually 1), then racks up noncombat damage whenever 1/1 tokens, or Maha-reduced toughness creatures, attack opponents. Isshin and Windcrag Siege multiply those triggers, while Ghostly Prison and goad spells steer opponent attackers away from you and toward each other. Secondary wins come from go-wide token pressure via Adeline, Ainok Strike Leader, and Zurgo, plus Caesar as a sacrifice finisher and Impact Tremors as a token pinger. The hidden commander is Isshin; Maha acts as a second enabler that turns every enemy creature into a Squall trigger.
