Deck overview

This deck is a grindy Mardu control and aristocrats build helmed by Malik, Grim Manipulator. It converts forced opposing creature sacrifices into a massive Treasure economy, which is subsequently leveraged into table-wide burn. The early game focuses on setting up color fixing and mana rocks to cast Malik on Turn 4. Mid-game turns deploy continuous edicts like Fleshbag Marauder, Plaguecrafter, and Archfiend of Depravity, stripping opposing boards while amassing dozens of artifact tokens. Win conditions compound through potent burn payoffs like Marionette Master, Mayhem Devil, Mirkwood Bats, and alternate win options like Revel in Riches. While the list excels at smothering creature-heavy strategies, its lack of stack interaction and countermagic leaves it exposed to fast noncreature combo decks.
