Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed Izzet spellslinger combo engine helmed by Vivi Ornitier. The primary game plan revolves around enchanting Vivi with damage-draw effects such as Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout. Because Vivi deals 1 damage to each opponent whenever you cast a noncreature spell, each cast draws three cards. This massive card influx fuels continuous storm turns using fast mana, cheap cantrips, and rituals, while Vivi's power-scaling mana ability produces massive mana bursts. The deck wins on the spot by burning the table out through Vivi's cumulative cast triggers, storming into Grapeshot or Brain Freeze, or pivoting to a hard infinite loop with Niv-Mizzet, Parun. Backed by premium low-cost counterspells and free interaction like Deflecting Swat, the deck boasts rapid setup velocity, lethal same-turn finishes, and solid redundancy across its core engine pieces.
