Format: Commander

Commander: Don Andres, the Renegade

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Grixis deck helmed by Don Andres, the Renegade is a theft-and-cast-from-exile strategy that capitalizes on playing opponents' cards. The commander turns every creature you control but don't own into a threatening Pirate with +2/+2, menace, and deathtouch, while each noncreature spell you cast from elsewhere generates two Treasure tokens. The primary win condition is combat damage, leveraging a horde of stolen creatures, extra combat steps from Port Razer, and mass theft effects like Insurrection or Blatant Thievery. Card advantage comes from "impulse draw" engines such as Stolen Strategy and Etali, Primal Storm, and the deck regularly plays from opponents' libraries to bypass its own limited card quality.
