Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Sphinx typal engine helmed by The Ur-Sphinx, leveraging eminence to lower the casting costs of high-impact flying creatures. By stacking cost-reduction artifacts like Urza's Incubator and Heartless Summoning alongside Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign, the deck rapidly empties its hand into a formidable aerial fleet while refilling through repeated Fact or Fiction triggers. Critical pressure peaks around Turn 5 with explosive plays such as Breach the Multiverse, Magister Sphinx, or casting The Ur-Sphinx to mill opponents and cast their best spells for free. Defensive phasing spells like Clever Concealment and Teferi's Protection safeguard the wide board against sweepers, while Raise the Palisade and Kindred Judgment provide one-sided board wipes that clear paths for lethal combat damage.
