Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Forced Combat and Group Slug strategy commanded by Kardur, Doomscourge. Its game plan revolves around casting Kardur to incite table-wide aggression, forcing opponents to attack each other while keeping your life total safe. As opposing armies wear each other down, Kardur drains life whenever attacking creatures die. The deck supplements this combat pressure with symmetrical and asymmetric attrition engines such as Spiteful Visions, Kaervek the Merciless, Archfiend of Depravity, and Magmatic Force. Midgame board wipes like Blasphemous Act and Deadly Tempest punish large opposing boards while triggering Kardur's drain abilities. High-end finishers like Sepulchral Primordial, Dictate of the Twin Gods, and Combustible Gearhulk capitalize on full graveyards and low life totals to close out the game. The deck thrives on political discord and heavy combat, turning opponent resources into weapons against the rest of the table.
