Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug, Wicked Worm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug, Wicked Worm leads a Rakdos artifact-token deck. The primary plan is to stockpile Treasures, use them for explosive mana and card draw, then convert them into huge token bursts and drain effects. Smaug's enters ability provides an early Treasure burst, while his triggered draw on Treasure-cast spells keeps the engine refueled. Secondary paths include the Academy Manufactor/Mirkwood Bats token-combo finish, the alternate win conditions Revel in Riches and Hellkite Tyrant, and dragon combat amplified by Fiery Emancipation. There and Back Again acts as a hidden Smaug: its token death creates fourteen Treasures, which forms the core fuel for the deck's combination wins.
