Rhys V0.4 by LasdalMerzim

Format: Commander

Commander: Rhys the Redeemed

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Selesnya token-swarm deck helmed by Rhys the Redeemed. The game plan is to establish a wide board of small tokens through redundant token generators, then multiply that board through Rhys's populate ability and other copy effects such as Second Harvest, Exalted Sunborn, and Divine Visitation. The increased board is converted into lethal combat damage by Cathars' Crusade, Beastmaster Ascension, Coat of Arms, and Finale of Devastation. The deck has no infinite combos; its primary and secondary wins are combat damage from overwhelming numbers, with Finale of Glory and Rabble Rousing providing additional burst and recovery. Seedborn Muse is a pivotal engine, letting Rhys activate multiple times per turn cycle and turn a modest token base into an army.
