Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Orzhov lifegain Voltron list that uses Karlov of the Ghost Council as both an enormous combat threat and a repeatable creature removal engine. The game plan opens with low-cost lifegain permanents like Soul Warden, Guide of Souls, and Authority of the Consuls on Turn 1, enabling Karlov to enter on Turn 2 and immediately begin accumulating +1/+1 counters. By Turn 5, Karlov grows into a lethal attacker capable of eliminating opponents through 21 commander damage. Evasion pieces such as Rogue's Passage, Commander's Plate, and Akroma's Will help push damage through blockers, while protection spells like Flawless Maneuver and Clever Concealment defend against sweepers. Secondary token generators and life-drain effects provide a resilient backup plan if Karlov is removed, allowing the deck to maintain steady pressure and close games around Turn 7.
