Deck overview

This is a mono-black lifegain-drain deck helmed by Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. The primary game plan is to assemble one of several infinite life-loss loops - most commonly Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood, or any combination of Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Bloodthirsty Conqueror, and a life-gain trigger. The deck packs an exceptional tutor suite (Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Imperial Seal, Grim Tutor) to find the combo pieces consistently, while rituals (Dark Ritual, Cabal Ritual, Culling the Weak) and black-mana doublers (Cabal Coffers, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx) enable explosive acceleration. Backup win conditions include massive X-spells (Exsanguinate, Gray Merchant of Asphodel), direct damage from Bolas's Citadel, and the beatdown plan with evasive lifelinkers. The deck is linear but highly redundant: multiple combo variants mean a single hate piece rarely stops the entire engine.
