Deck overview

This mono-green stompy deck harnesses Kona, Rescue Beastie to cheat game-ending permanents onto the battlefield well ahead of their normal mana costs. The game plan relies on deploying low-cost ramp and tap enablers on turns 1 and 2, casting Kona on turn 3, and immediately tapping it via cards like Springleaf Drum, Paradise Mantle, Jaspera Sentinel, or utility lands. At the beginning of the postcombat main phase, Kona's Survival ability puts high-impact permanents such as Vaultborn Tyrant, Portal to Phyrexia, Worldspine Wurm, and Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant directly into play. Once a formidable board presence is established, the deck replenishes its hand using power-based draw spells like Rishkar's Expertise and Last March of the Ents. Combat multipliers including Craterhoof Behemoth, Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus, and Finale of Devastation then provide the finishing blow, closing the game around turn 6. Redundant cheat outlets ensure the strategy functions even if Kona is targeted.
