Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated Mono-White Angel tribal and lifegain midrange strategy commanded by Ob Nixilis, the Ascended. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost lifegain enablers like Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant, and Guide of Souls to fuel powerful payoffs such as Righteous Valkyrie, Resplendent Angel, and Archangel of Thune. By Turn 4, the deck establishes an engine that grows its life total, distributes team-wide +1/+1 counters, and creates 4/4 flying Angel tokens. Commander Ob Nixilis, the Ascended provides a one-sided wipe against tapped creatures while reinforcing the aerial army with end-step tokens. Defensive tools such as Authority of the Consuls, Crackdown, and Ashes of the Abhorrent suppress opposing combat and graveyard synergies, while premium protection spells like Teferi's Protection and Flawless Maneuver keep the board intact. The deck decisively closes games between Turns 6 and 8 through overwhelming, evasive aerial combat and finishing spells like Akroma's Will.
