Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control and topdeck manipulation list helmed by Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. The primary strategy focuses on deploying early mana ramp and topdeck filters to cast Yennett on Turn 4, then attacking on Turn 5 to cast massive odd-cost spells for free. By combining continuous library manipulation like Sensei's Divining Top, Brainstorm, and Soothsaying with devastating game-altering payoffs like Void Winnower, Breach the Multiverse, and Toxrill, the Corrosive, the deck creates overwhelming card and board advantage. In addition to Yennett's attack engine, the deck incorporates strong asymmetric attrition tools like Fatespinner and Shared Fate, alongside versatile spot removal in white and black. While the list excels at cheating high-mana threats ahead of curve and grinding out value, it lacks dedicated instant-speed countermagic and fast mana, relying instead on high-synergy combat lines and persistent board control to close out games across multiple turns.
