Deck overview

This Grixis deck is commanded by Edward Kenway, combining Pirate tribal synergy, Vehicle combat value, and Treasure-based mana acceleration into a versatile midrange-combo strategy. Early turns focus on deploying low-cost Pirates and aggressive Vehicles like Subterranean Schooner and Captain Storm, Cosmium Raider to apply pressure and establish board presence. Once Edward Kenway enters, tapping Pirates and Vehicles generates substantial Treasure stockpiles on each end step, fueling both high-mana plays and card-draw engines like Kindred Discovery and Professional Face-Breaker. The deck's primary win condition is the compact, two-card infinite combo of Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Glint-Horn Buccaneer, which deals lethal noncombat damage to all opponents at instant speed during combat. Backed by free protective interaction such as Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, and Deadly Rollick, along with alternative win routes via Revel in Riches and The Indomitable, the deck balances resilient combat value with explosive same-turn lethality.
