Commander B2 - Rakdos Lizard Burn / Punish by GOKr10

Format: Commander

Commander: Gev, Scaled Scorch

Bracket: 2

DeckCheck Threat Index: 30

Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Rakdos burn and creature-synergy strategy piloted by Gev, Scaled Scorch. The primary game plan is to consistently deal noncombat damage to each opponent on early turns using cheap spells and triggers like End the Festivities and Agate Instigator. This enables Gev to distribute three +1/+1 counters to every subsequent creature entering the battlefield under your control. As the battlefield fills with aggressively statted Lizards, the deck layers symmetrical group-slug enchantments such as Manabarbs, Sulfuric Vortex, and Roiling Vortex to drain the table while shutting down life gain. While the deck boasts high velocity and rapid board deployment, it deliberately eschews infinite combos, tutors, and heavy stack interaction, relying instead on relentless table-wide pressure and punishing taxes to cross the finish line by Turn 8.
