Deck overview

This mono-red deck is commanded by Iraxxa, Empress of Mars and revolves entirely around the 'cast from exile' mechanic. It maximizes card flow through a high density of impulse-draw effects such as Valakut Exploration, Stolen Strategy, and Light Up the Stage. Each card cast from exile triggers Iraxxa to create 2/2 Alien Warrior tokens, building a wide battlefield presence. Concurrently, cards like Purphoros, God of the Forge, Passionate Archaeologist, and Keeper of Secrets weaponize each cast and token entry into direct damage against all opponents. Defensive fog artifacts like Sunstone and Glacial Crevasses protect life totals using Snow-Covered Mountains. The deck wins by turning its massive card turnover into overwhelming board pressure and burn, overcoming opposing life buffers through attrition.
